The Kaseya Center in Miami was the stage for the 38th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro, held on February 19, 2026, and hosted by Thalía, Nadia Ferreira, and Clarissa Molina. With 248 artists nominated in 44 categories, the Univision gala brought together the most influential names in Latin music on a night that will be etched in the annals of the Hispanic music industry.
Bad Bunny, the Great Dominator
Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny was crowned the biggest winner of the evening with six awards, solidifying his position as one of the most important phenomena in the urban genre worldwide. His album Debí Tirar Más Fotos swept the most coveted categories: Album of the Year and Song of the Year—with the track «DTMF»—in addition to the award for Artist of the Year and Urban Male Artist of the Year. The 'bad rabbit' also took home the award for Tropical Collaboration of the Year with Los Pleneros De La Cresta for «Café Con Ron.»
Karol G, Shakira, and the Power of Latin Women
Colombian artist Karol G reaffirmed her dominance in the female urban scene by winning the Urban Female Artist of the Year award and seeing her song «Latina Foreva» crowned as Urban Song of the Year. For her part, Shakira received the Tour of the Year award for her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, one of the most successful tours of 2025, and also took home the Pop Collaboration of the Year award with Alejandro Sanz for «Bésame.»
In the pop category, Maluma was recognized as Male Artist of the Year, while Cazzu won the award for Female Artist of the Year – Pop. The king of tropical music, Romeo Santos, prevailed in the Tropical Artist of the Year category. The duo formed by Carín León and American artist Kacey Musgraves won the «Crossover» Collaboration of the Year with «Lost In Translation,» a nod to the Latin genre's ability to transcend linguistic and cultural borders.
Tributes to Music Legends
The gala reserved its most emotional moments for the presentation of special awards. Colombian artist Juanes received the Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of decades of contribution to music in Spanish. Los Bukis were honored with the Musical Legacy Award, and Paloma San Basilio received the Premio Lo Nuestro for Excellence. Producer Manolo Díaz was distinguished with the Visionary Award, while Arcángel obtained the Urban Icon award.
